Thought Provoking from the First Comment

I have always enjoyed 2nd Corinthians, and have read it many times. In reading David's commentary, I have had to deeply think about passages I thought I knew so well.
Pastor Guzik's comments draw out the essence of each passage and allow the reader to ponder not only the words and what Paul went through in order to write what he did, but it also is a great springboard of introspection to cause the reader to evaluate his or her own life.
I have found "Second Corinthians" to be a book I can not just "blast through" like a novel. Rather, I read it in segments, consider what was said, and spend some time reflecting. When I find I've laid it aside for several days, I have gone back to review what I had just read in preparation to move on, and find that my mind has been mulling over the recent passages subconsciously, bringing observations and questions to mind that I must address before moving on.
I highly recommend this book to the serious Bible student.

I really love the way Pastor David teaches. I am someone that needs all the information that he gives in his commentaries. I have to admit he is great to hear at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara too.

Terrific resource.

My wife and I just finished David's commentary on 2nd Corinthians. We found it very helpful in better understanding the background of the letter, it's purposes, and the message that it conveys. We are using his NT commentaries as the basis of our studies together this year. They're a terrific resource.
